SAP Dashboards Addon CubeServ Connector

There are various possibilities to access SAP BEx queries in the SAP NetWeaver BW environment thanks to the development of applications and visualizations with SAP dashboards.

In addition to the historical Business Objects connection technologies, „Crystal Reports / Live Office“ and „Universe / Query as WebServices“, as of EHP1 SAP NetWeaver BW, offers the possibility to access SAP BEx queries directly via what is referred to as a BICS interface.

With the „CubeServ Connector“, CubeServ provided customers with an add-on for SAP dashboards that bridges the main technological and content gaps in comparison to the SAP standard.

Amongst others:

  • Possibility to access data on SAP NetWeaver BW 3.x and 7.x systems via ABAP services
  • Local use of SAP dashboards (storage media, network, FTP,..) – no SAP enterprise portal integration necessary
  • Local preview of data in the SAP dashboards development environment – no longer necessary to publish in the SAP enterprise portal
  • Simple integration into the SAP dashboards development environment
  • Stream-lined architecture – short development times – high performance
  • Support of SAP NetWeaver BW hierarchies

Adobe Flex is the development base for the standard development environment of SAP dashboards.

Our approach

Use of the „CubeServ Connector“ is accompanied on site by our experienced consultants. To this effect, CubeServ will carry out all important configurations within the SAP NetWeaver BW system environment, including an extensive transfer of know-how.

Within the scope of this project, a small prototype with SAP dashboards was worked out to illustrate the main features of the „CubeServ Connector“ and to serve as a reference project for future developments.

If the customer should desire additional services and features, these can be implemented on site and made available within the scope of an additional add-on.

Our offer
